234 Berkeley

234 Berkeley

Originally the New England Museum of Natural History, 234 Berkeley was designed by architect William Gibbons Preston in 1862. In recent years, this recognized Back Bay icon was painstakingly renovated and restored to return the building to its former grandeur, including the complete restoration of lost architectural elements that make it unique. The magnificent Boston destination is now the elegant flagship store of Restoration Hardware, one of the world’s leading luxury home furnishings purveyors. 234 Berkeley received the prestigious Boston Preservation Alliance Achievement Award to honor outstanding achievement in historic preservation.
